What parts are you concerned with being plastic/polymer?

The only two I know of in an 870 shotgun is the trigger guard and I think the trigger itself.

And the magazine spring retainer. (no dimples)

I bought the 590s had the plastic trigger/guard?? Remington had metal.

Only thing I know of is the follower in the tube and what ever synthetic parts you add in your tac shot gun.

The trigger assembly on the Wingmaster is still metal... The only plastic parts are the magazine follower and the magazine spring retainer.. I don't mind the newer mag retainer as its easier to deal with than the old style.. The trigger assembly on the new express is polymer but the trigger itself is metal... I own both..

Ok that makes sense. Every 870 I've held has all metal parts for the trigger groups. And in all the 870 vs 590 YouTube videos that's always a big deal to them. But in all honesty the polymers now a days are strong enough to hold. Just look at glocks.

Plastic triggers is a differant story. I don't want any flex in my pull. Only down side to the 590 having plastic parts for the trigger group.
