I've never seen one in stock for a 9mm before, ever.

Maybe ask your LGS to order one for you.

Me either. I bought my 9mm Springfield off another calgunner. I recently saw a few of them on gunbroker if you want to go that route.

Nope, and you probably won't find one on a shelf locally.

Alternatively, there's no shortage of them on GB.

Not in LA county. I saw them at 2 different shops in OC, but they get snatched up quick.

I called every where in OC. The closest I found was a 3 month wait. There was a Kimber on here just the other day. It went fast.

One of the LGS has a springfield 1911 9mm, but the price keeps it sitting in that glass case.

I have one or two up north.

I sell them pretty dang cheap. If you cant find one I'd be glad to ship your dealer one.

Martin Redding in Culver City had three in stock when I bought mine a few months back. They normaly have a large selection there.

If someone saw one at Martin Retting, that's only 45 minutes from you.

Well technically you are correct its $8 over MSRP. Considering the scarcity of 9mm's in the 1911 I'm kind of surprised; I've seen them in Nor Cal shops a $100 more than that.

Locally, that's a decent price. As Ripon pointed out, and as everyone who's actively looking for one knows, 1911's in 9mm trim are in fact borderline scarce.

$1094 at Buds...so I guess what's shown above is a pretty good CA price.

I paid $995 plus tax and dros for a total of $1,117.00 OTD in Feb of 2010 for my Kimber Stainless Target 2 9mm. Awesome pistol.
