Hi,
I am new here and I would like someone who is familiar with a featureless build to take a look at this product. It is from Troy Industries and it is called the Claymore muzzle brake. Here is a link to the manufacturer and a link to a video of the thing in action. Any comments about this being a good choice for a featureless build, as it appears to fit the description of an actual muzzle brake and not a flash hider, would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Totalinfidel

best choice for a featureless brake would be one that produces the least amount of rise and kick. IMHO the best I have seen is the gogogun notalon brake for @ 89.00. youtube it to see the demos. for the money performance I like the yhm 5m1 @ 20.00

Claymore is good to go on a featureless. Probably quieter than some of the other options as all blast is pushed forward.

Here's a great guide and it runs through other options as well: Chaos47s Featureless Rifle Guide (https://docs.google.com/document/pub?id=14Sc8MNP9AO6JgHxcnqm5oR45LDLIhpqeBHsCN8-K4XU&pli=1)

Personally, I run the MSTN/PRI Quiet Comp on my featureless. It's loud (like all muzzle brakes) but it eliminates all muzzle rise. Been a favorite of 3-gun competitors for years.

I have the claymore on my featureless, got it because it looked like a cheaper alternative to the Levang Linear Compensator. Works fine, but I have nothing to compare it to.

Fate,
Thanks so much for your input and the link to the featureless rifle guide. Now I know that I am on the right track regarding my choice of muzzle brakes, stocks and non pistol grips.
MUCH APPRECIATED!
