Just came back from the show, picked up CZ-75B for $469.99 + tax + dros after calguns coupon from Turners

Is it a good price for this gun? How does CZ 75 compare to Sig 226?

Thanks

That's a steal, I got my sp-01 for 630+tax and dros, other shops close to me had them for 560 for cz 75b in 40 sw

I was not expecting CZs to be on sale, went to the show to get a RIA 1911, which I didn't like.

I paid $540 + tax & DROS. Seeing how sporadically CZs have been available, it didn't seem worth it to try to wait for a bargain.

You got a great price! The CZ-75 is comparable to the p226.....both are high quality, super reliable, highly accurate pistols. I love sigs, but the cz has a better finish!

No. You overpaid terribly. It's a terrible gun. Throw it into the river... but before you do, make sure to put it into a sealed plastic baggy and let me know which river, where, and when you plan to do the deal.

;)

I paid 600 for mine, btw. Plus DROS. While I could have probably found it for less had I waited... I do not regret paying more for such an excellent gun.

BTW, in .40S&W or 9mm?

Good price.

The CZ and Sig are very different platforms. Both accurate, both reliable, both will do what you ask them to.

But it is apples and oranges.

Both great guns. I prefer the feel of the CZ over the Sig (I have a 226 and 228R). In fact, out of all platforms, the CZ is by far my favorite. These things are snappier compared to sigs, but shoot very well.

I am surprised at these prices. I remember picking up my CZs back in the day for $400 + tax + DROS. Now if only those compacts 75b's came on sale.

BTW, in .40S&W or 9mm?

Got in 9 mm, wanted to go for 40 but thought originally 75B was designed for 9mm.

Which one do you guys prefer?

Thanks

I prefer the .40S&W, but not for any particular reason anyone else would appreciate. I'm just more accurate with .40S&W.

Incidentally, that gun has won me the 4x4 shoot at my local club every time I've shot it.

As to Sig v. CZ... Sigs are great guns. But I own a CZ.

Can you let me k ow how you got it for $578 shipped? Looking on their site it's $578 before shipping cost...

Was going to say it was like 20 or so shipping. +60 ffl/dros + tax. Mine should go out this week. Had the tactical sights installed.

Thanks for confirming, I had ordered a po1 from them couple months back and shipping was ~$30.

For $578 shipped I would have snatched up for sure when they had them in stock... Too bad free shipping is mainly on their cz75b models...

Why are SP 01 expensive than 75bs? Are they better in quality and accuracy?

Thanks

that is a very good price. From where i'm from (bay area), you will get a cz 75B for around $600 out the door

as for the sig comparison.... i don't know and don't care to shoot guns i can't afford

Is SP01 more accurate than 75B? I don't want rails and night sights but would like to get it if it's more accurate.

Thanks

When I lived in north bay, there was 3 shops that had them for 520ish. Wherever you were/are looking are craptastic shops it sounds like.

Faster recovery shots with the increase weight on the front end.

And I guess it would be more accurate at night :43:

Thanks guys, i will stick with 75B don't like rail and dont need night sights for range duty:-)

I also called CZ and asked this same question to couple of customer reps and they also confirmed that SP01 is just tactical version of 75b and there wont be any accuracy difference.

thanks again.

Yea good price, The CZ itch is pretty bad here.

Anyone know if CZ Custom will break down +10 round mags?

Good price.

The CZ and Sig are very different platforms. Both accurate, both reliable, both will do what you ask them to.

But it is apples and oranges.

Both double stack, both DA/SA. Sig doesn't have a safety, but then a CZ bd doesn't either. They are quite similar.

I just checked- got my two-tone 75b for $399 in 2006, so adjusted for the cost of living and CZ's rise in popularity I'd say you did pretty well.

IIRC the Sp01 barrel is slightly heavier/thicker.

If you buy a gun from them I pretty sure they will swap out the hicaps for 10 rounders. I don't they will send out mag kits. If you need kits buy mecgar mags from places like Exile that will break them down.

My experiences with CZ custom have been very good. I would be surprised if they did not accommodate 10 rounders

Cz's are listed on the roster as part numbers, not models. The 10 round kits are on the only ones specifically listed for CA sales.
