If your just planning to plink 9mm ... 115gr should do.

I shot different brands of 115gr through my Sp2022 with no issues.

The nice thing about SigPro 2022 is that you can put a stone with gunpowder on it and it would still go bang.

I had mine for quite a while now and when plinking I feed it with whatever is available except when I go out of state and use is as my CCW gun then i go for Hornady 9mm 115gr CrtDef.

The only thing i notice with a SigPro is that when feeding it with Federal ammo it seems to eject shells right at your arm or face, so I guess the answer to your question is any ammo except Federal base on my own experience.

They use to sell Winchester fully encapsulated 147gr. at the Shows a while back for a pretty good deal, like $80 for 500 rounds...don't know if they still do.

Those got me hooked and now all I shoot is 147's.

Went out last weekend with my daughter and her new P2022 and found that the slide failed to lock back on the last round shooting the Walmart Federal 115 gr. ammo. Shot Winchester white box 115 gr. and LAX 115 gr. reloads and no problems. Maybe after a few hundred rounds the gun might shoot the Federal. I did notice that the Federal felt like it is a lighter load when shooting through my 9MM 1911 as compared to other makes.

Great price, but I think those days are gone.

I liked shooting 124gr out of my 9mm. For HD I used 147gr speer gold dots.
