I just got my 1911 back today and it had night sight. However only the front sight isnt bright anymore, so i want to replcae it. It is a type of target sight with nightsight built in. Says springfield on the sight. How do i get them replaced?

Have you shaken it? The tritium vials that make it glow need to be shaken once every 3 months. Just shake it until they start glowing again.

Buy the new front sight, make sure its compatible with your rear, or get a whole new set, take it to a smith and get them installed for a few bucks.

It's dovetail. You just need to buy a replacement push out the old and in the new.

What brand? I think you can get a new vial from the original vendor

I just end my Wilson slide to Trijicon and they replaced just the vials. Call springfield and find out who they use for their night sights. My Wilson sights say Wilson Combat on them but the tritium is Trijicon.
