Wow, a really short course.

I wouldn't call it concealing, but more like "inconspicuous transportation"... concealing it is not very legal.

It's typical Texas playground equipment. ;)

aren't rifles by nature "non concealable"?

Depends, not always.

Concealing a long gun is not a crime in itself btw.

Not illegal per se but the rifle must be at least 30" long in it's shortest fireable configuration.
So folders are out there legally in CA
My Polish tantal is a fine example>>>

Using one of Aimsmall's extended brakes (only 1" longer than the original) it is just over 30" folded so legal in CA.

And a FINE example it is!

The AMD's pretty incognito hanging in the house with all the other sports equipment.

It's 25.5"

Good rule of thumb for determining California firearms legality: If you have to ask, it's probably illegal....

Folders are also illegal on centerfire rifles with detachable mags, which is why bullet buttons were created.

Don't forget pistol grip, and vertical forward grip which are also present on the AMD65.
Interesting developments as of late regarding the bullet button though.
Spidy sense telling me it's days are numbered on our rifles, and not because of some Chinese immigrant legislator who watches channel 5 either. :)

Thanks for nicoroshi for the pic and info.. I have a polish tantal coming in and wanted to do the same thing and was looking for a muzzle device that fit the bill...

did a quick search and saw it on parallaxtactical's site for $79.99... any other places I should look and is that about what you paid for yours...

I stand corrected :)
That said, avoid school zones with your 'play equipment'

Does this not fall under the NFA disguised firearm AOW? Maybe even in two cases if you can manage to fire it through the soft case.

Outstanding. I like the idea of "inconspicuous transportation".

That's something I've been thinking about it. I think there could be times where it might be a bad idea to transport a firearm (rifle or shotgun in this case) in a bag that is obviously designed to hold firearms. Take my Voodoo tactical 2-gun bag for example, a huge 42" inch long camouflage gun bag. It's too obvious.

Actually, it's an el cheapo loaded with 7.62.

But it functioned at the range yesterday. (It won't go on front line duty, though.)

I shot'em both for the first time.

no trigger slap
ate cheap ammo like champs
folder stock works just fine
AMD is LOUD!

How long did you have to wait for the tax stamp? Oh wait, that's right...Federal only cares about unfolded length.

Damn this state.

Standard TKL Gig Bag, even has a shoulder strap that I use to throw it on my back when lugging my handgun and ammo at the same time. Front zip pouch can hold two 10/30 PMags inconspicuously

Tried to rotate pics..

+1 for gtr soft bags. Ive been using them forever.

Cheap and inconspicuous, and you can even get some with some pretty strong padding on them.

not to mention, I would rather people think I am a guitarist (which I am) over a tennis player :D

Tennis bags FTW. I built up some closed-cell foam to house my middie AR when broken down. Works great, nicely discreet.

Have you seen lacrosse or field hockey stick bags. They can go up to 41" long and work well for discreet carry of rifles.
