I had to make it look different. My dad bought the mp15 sport last year and have always loved ar15s. So last weekend I was at the store, and bought one, along with my mom. So we all have the same one haha.

I have to wear eye glasses so hopefully I can shoot this at 100 yards with my 1x32

This sight that i have was regularly 200, but they had it in the wrong spot in a locked container with a tag marked 120. And they weren't going to give it to me for 120, so i talked to the manager and he said yeh we can give it to you for 120. Go to the register and the it rang up 200 so the person that told her to mark it down to 120, misspoke and said mark it down 120 so i actually got it for 80.

I got the same red dot paid 150 for it. Works great for me. Hope you like it.

I don't really need to pay an extra $300 for something I'm not gonna use, Forward Assist and a dust cover. They all put lead down range and will stop anything in its path.

One thing i noticed on my moms rifle, when i push the BB I can take the mag catch on the other side and pull it out and spin it. Her BB is really loose, ilke they didn't even tighten the nut down. So I need to take it in and get it tightened.

Yes, I have the M&P15 that I bought for quite a bit in 2010. What do these not have that makes them so much less $$$

in the sports price range locally for a complete rifle, you basically only have delton or dpms that come with fa/dc

the smith seemed to have better quality

Plus the money i saved not buying the FA/DC I can use on a scope or something. Because I would like to get into shooting a little further than 100 yards. (I know carbine length isn't for that) but it could probably do 150-200?

You can push irons to be accurate for a pretty damn long way. 200 yards should be no problem.

for me to be able to shoot 200 yards with irons i'll STILL need glass

and by glass, i mean 4-eyes glass.

Ill start at 50 and zero it. Then try 100 and see how I do.

I hope you're kidding- Do you not own any tools? If you can sping the mag catch on the other side, why not just spin it clock wise a turn or two?

Nice looking rifle. Let us know how the shooting goes. The M&P is a good rifle. In 40 years of shooting ARs I have never used the forward assist, quite right.

Two things. Yes I did try some tools I had, none of them worked. And spinning the mag catch won't do anything. The nut isn't attached to the wall of the BB so it spins with mag catch.

I have a brand new M&P15 and the bullet button is a little wiggly loose. Doesn't spin or anything, but jiggles a little. Is that not normal?
