Will Turners have any in-store specials during the Raahauges Shooting Sports Fair?

I'm looking to pick up a .22LR revolver like the Ruger SP101, or Ruger Mark III in stainless steel.

The "in-store" specials will be available at our tent/store located at the Sports Fair. Calgun's Members save a bit more! (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=578535)

Are the prices at the tent event that good? TBH, to save $20-$40 would not be worth the drive for me, and I would assume many others.

Ha , the coupon is just the cherry on the top for me ... i was planning on going to check it out with the wife , since we both get fridays off anyways ...

Besides were else can you go try a gun before you buy it , to see if you really like it ........

In a nutshell, how will the "shoot it" work? Do we pay like on the spot for a handful of ammo for whatever gun we get in line to try out??

Each manufacturer has their own area set up with prices of the ammo posted. It is different prices for the different calibers. You pay them for how much ammo you want to shoot, then you go shoot it.

FYI, They don't open until Noon on Friday... Sat & Sun is 10AM

I'll be out there sporting my Calguns T-Shirt I got last year.

PS Those *****ing about paying to get in ect... Where else can you go shoot 100's of different firearms with factory reps on-hand? You'd pay just as much to wander around a beefjerky err... gun show and not actually fire a damn thing! Rentals at a range? Sure - pay the range fee and the rental fee and buy their ammo - For EACH firearm! Gas money- really? Pretty sure you have to drive anywhere you'd go to do the above.

Last year I shot a few guns I had NO intention of purchasing, just to have the experience. eg - A Ruger Alaskan 454 Casull (yep, I picked the short barrel version too) and the Barret .416.

I also went and checked out the Springfield booth and loved their 1911's and found out the the XD series wasn't for me. I almost bought one prior with all the hype... That $10 entry saved me a bunch in this case. [/rant]

i'm pretty sure it's same policy as in store purchase, i.e. 30% down and 30 days layaway..

Can anyone who is at the show or going to the show please let me know what kind of 1911s they have on sale? Particularly whether they have Springfields?

Yes, 30% down, just like in-store purchases...

As for 1911s, I'm reading this after attending, but anything they have is on-sale. I only saw a couple of Sigs and Kimbers and one RIA 1911s in the tent. I didn't ask about Springfield, but I did hit them up about a Nighthawk... They showed me their show price list and all were about $100 off their regular price.

Springfield Armory is there with a booth and has 1911s and XDs as well as long guns you can try.

If you are looking for a massive discount. You won't find it on all the guns at the show. I went hoping that I might get a deal on an xd9. I missed out last week on the 419 deal for the essential. At the show it was 339. When i called the store to see if they could honor the show price, they pointed out that it was show only pricing. Store price 469. They DID have the stainless xd9 on sale for 519 though. 90 bucks off.

That not a very good deal at all :-)

Correction 439

$439 - $20 CG discount = $419

that would put the xd9 at the same sales price of about 2 weeks ago...

late last year, it was $399 plus 3 free mags and mag pouch from SA ($120 value).

Was there Saturday. Turner's tent was line-out-the-door jammed. I had a good time shooting, adding a few more guns to the wish-list. Stopped at the Calguns booth.

Update: went back today and talked to a different salesperson, and got a different price. Picked up the essential xd9 for 399. After tax and dro I was out the door for a little north of 460. Happy as a clam, or at least will be in 10 days.

Just came back from the show, picked up CZ-75B for $469.99 + tax + dros after calguns coupon.

Is it a good price for this gun?

Thanks
