I know this has been asked a million times, but I can't quite find all my answers. My Dad hasn't purchased a handgun in years and now wants one although we shoot locally fairly frequently. He likes a particular that I have several variations of, so I would like to give/sell him one of mine. Would appreciate any input on below:

I suspect he needs to get his HSC first?
Do we need to do a PPT?
Or is there a son to father transfer alternate?

Thanks

Assuming your dad is a resident of California:

1) Your dad needs to get an HSC.

2) Then you give the gun to your dad.

3) Your dad fills out this form and sends it to the CA DOJ.

There you go.
