Relax. First, there is no link from this hype to anything proving this to be true. Do you believe everything you read on the internet? Secondly, this same story has been going around for several years. If it's true, why hasn't anything happened yet? All this story has done is drive the price of Saiga shotguns way up and created a larger profit margine for importers and distributors.

Why would they go after only shotguns? Seems to me if they were going after the 2nd, they'd come after anything that went bang. Then again, the sneaky folks could try to decimate the 2nd one class at a time. Kind of like how they've been dismantling the Constituion and Bill of Rights for quite a long time. Didn't other following the link.

There was also a rider to a federal bill last year that makes it much more difficult for the ATF to do anything to shotguns. One of the few times that slipping something into a funding bill was a good thing.

We should be more concerned with the UN's small arms treaty that threatens us every with every new term president we elect. If and it's a big IF the senate ratifies this bogus piece of crap legislation, it nullifies our 2A with little if any recourse. Clinton tried to get this passed and it was defeated soundly by the senate. However this is a new age and a different senate.
BATFE did a "study' and determined that there was no "sporting purpose" for SG with capacities over 5 rounds. They looked and IDPA MDG and USPSA 3 gun competitons and figured they weren't "sports".
Recent USSC rulings upholding the 2A as an individual right, IMO, has cooled ATF's jets, so to speak.
