View Full Version : Saiga: 16 or 20 inch barrel?

I'm interested in shooting some .223/5.56, and a Saiga seems like a great inexpensive semi-auto option. Does anyone have any experience with the 16" vs 20" barrels on these guns? Is there a substantial difference in accuracy, or just some additional muzzle velocity?

All around I'd say the 16" barrel is going to me more handy.
You'll pick up some more FPS with the 20" but I really doubt it will matter accuracy wise.

Good to know... I was leaning in that direction. Thanks for the input.

Congrats on your decision. Now if you can tell me where I can actually get a Saiga IZ-137 which is the 16" barrel in .308, I'll take the necessary steps. haha.
I know where the 21" barrel is.
