View Full Version : First AR15 build. Question about collapsible stock and 30" length

I was wanting a 16" barrel with a Magpul CTR stock but I can't figure out from any of the specs what the full length of the gun will be with the stock fully collapsed. Does anyone know what that length is and if this will come in under the required 30"?
If so, are there other good options out there for stocks? What are your favorite?

The CTR stock and a 16" barrel will be over 30" for sure. I think it is 31" collapsed and 35" extended.

I just put a Magpul ACS on one of my ARs and I really like it. Great cheek weld with an optic and the little extra weight helped balance a muzzle-heavy rifle. While I'm sure I will get some grief on here for saying it, that little storage compartment really comes in handy.

32 3/8" collapsed with FH, 31 1/8" collapsed to end of threaded barrel.

With those specs, you'll be fine
