I want to eliminate as much recoil as possible. I am not concerned with:

1) Price
2) Loudness
3) Will not be suppressing
4) Looks

It will go on my Remington 700 SPS Tactical 20" Barrel which is a 223 bolt action.

So far I am looking at

1) Surefire MB556
2) JP Recoil Eliminator
3) Spikes Dynacomp

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

.223 has recoil? All kidding aside, if you dont care about loudness then the JP will surely do the trick.

Check out my featureless build guide link in my signature. (scroll down till the photos)

I don't have reviews of their recoil performance on my list but the list has a ton of muzzle devices on it to give you an idea of what is out there and you can then research more about how they perform..

(Ignore all the legal mumbo jumbo and the minimal risk, risky and no-go stuff since this is bolt action)

Edit to add: If recoil reduction is your goal then I would look at what 3gun competitors are using. (JP Comp, Miculek, LUND etc)

-Any of the above should do a good job on your .223

Its hard to beat the JP brakes performance. A lot of good breaks out there but the JP works like it belongs on a Howitzer! But why a brake for a 223? Not that its a big deal I run brakes on all my 243's! Pretty slick when you can shoot with free recoil!
