This is a fun gun!! Saw it at Rifle Gear and bought it on a whim. Did my research AFTER  buying it and learned that the GI model is more tolerant of surplus ammo than their other offerings. This was a welcome surprise as I shoot a lot of surplus stuff.

Took it out this weekend and put about 100 rounds of mixed stuff through it, none of which was quality ammo.

It ran flawlessly. Light recoil, which was a bit surprising since it is around 9.5 pounds. Seems to buck less than my .308 AR and about the same as my M1A.

Accuracy was pretty good with 1-2" groups at 50 yards with surplus, tarnished ammo.

Never got out beyond that due to time constraints.

Bought a scope mount and will see how it does with a scope here soon.

Lucky guy :) I would love one of these & a DSA FAL. Does that thing take a standard magazine lock?

No. It uses a bullet button arrangement, same as an AR. Mag release looks very, very similiar, though not identical. A .308 bullet tip pops the mag easily. Mags for these are cheap. G3 mags can be found for under $10. 10/20's cost double that, but at $20 are still affordable.

Mag goes in at an angle versus an AR, which seems to be straight up and down. Insertion angle is similiar to an M1A but it clicks home much smoother. Again, more similiar to an AR.

EDIT: To be more accurate, outside California, it uses a standard mag release. Here, it requires a bullet button.

Yeah, that was me. I was there to DROS three Rifle Gear stripped lowers that I had ordered and saw this. I'm a sucker for semi auto's, so I asked to hold it and asked how many they had.

He said that was the only one, so I snagged it.

It seems to be fairly accurate, but my guess is it isn't quite as accurate as my M1A Scout. Hard to say yet as I only shot about 60 rounds or so and was mainly evaluating and getting used to the gun.

The rear sight is unique and I had to buy a special tool to make adjustments to it.

Well sir enjoy that rifle. I am waiting on them to get more in stock. What kind of tool did you have to get for the rear sight? How much did it cost? Please let us know if the rifle develops any problems.
