Yep.....sure got the adrenaline FA-LOWING!!! Great Colt advertisement. Funny how not one single rifle in Colt's video was being used with (or even fitted with) that ever popular and dominating AFG!!!;)

I have the same LRB lower, its pretty nice, but the flashing in the trigger guard is annoying, anodizing on it is a bit thin too. Now my Mega, that's flawless.

Yeah it was a good vid but lets be honest. Colt's only doing this cause they think there contract with the goverment is almost done and they are tring to apeal to us civvies after brushing us off for so many years. Colts are not the best just used by standard military. The vid was still good and the knock on the AFG was classic.

Meh, can you say, "coasting on the past"?

Colts are fine rifles but I found this commercial/promo to be a bit too jingoistic. Reminds me of Harley ads, selling an image/lifestyle much more than a product. That's okay, a lot of guys like to buy image but it is not important to me.

You have to figure that the small arms contract has been a tremendous undertaking for Colt Defense, and has been their primary focus since being awarded the contract. Since the small arms contract seems to have been awarded to Remington Arms, we should see more civilian-focused projects the near future. Personally, I'm excited.

plez...COLT is old skool they need to catch up...

Colt is only considered old "skool" by certain people because they have been around the longest ('cept, of course, ArmaLite, who sold the whole design to Colt, but that's a whole other story!) and our Military has always used them exclusively.

So many people drool over Colt AR's because they are the standard by which all other AR "clone companies" (a la BCM, Daniel Defense, Lewis Machine & Tool, CMMG, S&W and other high-quality manufacturers) got their standards of excellence or "blueprint," if you will.

Oh, and pssssssst......... where the Hell have you been? Sleepin' in a CAVE?:p Colt already "caught up" quite a while back, even though the existing rifles were GTG as they were. Some of their new designs/innovations rival or exceed anything else out there. Take a look at their .308 AR that will also accept 5.56 uppers. THAT is pretty damn kickass if you ask me (or probably anyone else!;))

Colts are fine rifles but I found this commercial/promo to be a bit too jingoistic.

I didn't know anyone actually used that word without making themselves burst out laughing!:p

i was in NAM from April 1968- April 1969.in the ARMY. i had my own M 16 that whole year. i kept it very clean and it never left my side for long. i was not in a combat unit [ i repaired roads] i loved taking out my baby and shooting full auto. it was always fun.

Doesn't the military and .gov award contracts to outfits that usually give the most bang for the least buck.

Colts are nice but "milspec" doesn't mean uber awesome tacticool killing machine. It means that the tolerances and design specifications are along the lines of the military specifications. Its a cool commercial but I get the feeling its selling image rather than a gun.

Nope, not at all. That appears to be the case with Remington Arms being awarded the small-arms contract at $673 per M4 compared to Colt, which if I'm not mistaken, was upwards of $1,100 per M4.

The R15 will in fact be the most bang for least buck, but they do intend to build the R15 using Colt's Technical Data Package.
