When S&W has a better fix on an actual ship date, we'll see what we can do.

We're getting an update from S&W but they indicated it would be out there a few weeks. We'll see if they've got a better window.

I picked one up thursday at the local sporting goods store

339.99 + Fees

349.99 out the door

Was disappointed in it having only 1 mag but its a 12 round (I'm in Oregon)
and seems S&W is proud of their mags...28.00-32.00 for an additional one

will try and get to the range this week to shoot it

Interesting .... CA-approved guns will not be shipping from S&W until August.

Ditto?

Yep, everyone gets theirs before CA ....

All my Dealers here in San Diego don't seem to know how to get one.

S&W tells us that some dealers in CA have been trying to order the first part number that S&W offered but that specific model is not CA approved. We're lined up for the CA model and hopefully S&W can meet that ETA date of mid-August.

The person at S&W I talked to couldn't even give me that much info.
He didn't know when they were shipping out.

We get a lot of that, too- makes it very tough to get you accurate info. Add this year's crazy sales environment and it only adds to the fun.

We'll update if we hear anything else. And while we're not sure how many will ship, we'll see if we can pull off a CGN special or at least maybe a "pre-sale"; not sure but we'll take a look at doing something if we can.

Suggestion :whistling: : do the special price + a free magazine (since it only comes with one).

Went to check my local turners, and there taking deposits on the M&P 22 now. Had the sales clerk look up the selling price and there price is at 399.99..not bad I guess??? $125 as a deposit would had my name on the list with the rest of the must have. But I didn't quite pull the trigger on it just yet as I wanted to call around locally and of course surprisingly some did carry it but was out of stock right away. One shop was selling it for $374 w/tax and dros.

Hopfully Turners can give us calguns members a special introductory price since these are such high demand.. C'mon turners, you can dooo it!!!!

Just ordered M&P22 Ca approved from Buds gun for $340.00 http://Budsgunshop.com
Shipping to FFL in Fremont only charging $50.00 for transfer. After I ordered I called 3gun dealers who just received several in, Vacaville got 10 last week selling $499.00 another dealer in Martinez has 3 priced at $449.00. Looks like local dealers are marking up the retail of $419.00 because of the demand. Order from Buds Gun Supply with tax FFL and CA fees still $100.00 under everyone local

Not sure if you ordered the right gun? Buds hasn't had them in stock for awhile.
Stock #122002 California model. I've been on their waiting list for months.
and the price was last listed at 361.00

Well you are correct:mad: just received an email from Buds saying can't ship to CA. They want me to call to correct or canel the order. I just went to the link you provided and I see the CA approved model and description is different. Well after calling around I did find 3 gun dealers In the bay area that have the gun finally in stock but they're marking the gun up by $50 to $100 bucks. I may just wait until Buds gets them which might not be long since CA IS FINALLY GETTING SHIPPMENT:) also the CA approved gun has NO threaded barell.

Correct me if Im wrong guys as Iv never purchased a firearm online. I did find a FFL dealer that charges $50 for the transfer.. So say you purchase from buds for $361, then the ffl charges $50 for the transfer, then tax in my area is (7.75%), then dros fees
($30)? If I stand correct it would cost me $468.

Now If Id purchase frm a local turners which is literally 8 minutes down the street, they're selling at 399.99 plus tax and dros would come out $460

Now If I drive out 35 miles out, they have the mp22 for 374.40, and otd would run me $433 w/ tax and dros. But taking into consideration 35miles out for gas money back and forth twice.

So I think turners would be my overall best bet to purchase, wouldnt you say?

What Im trying to figure out in my case how I or anyone else would save money purchasing online, after all the fees and what not.

Ok after ordering from Buds and finding out it was not the CA approved model the order was cancelled. Further search meaning calling every dealer in the bay area 50 miles from where I live lead me to only 2 gun dealers in the bay area with then new firearm. Vacaville got 10 in and priced them at $499.00 before tax and fees. Canyon Sports in Martinez http://www.canyon-sports.com/ had 3 priced at $449.00 plus tax and fees. I drove up to Canyon Sports saw and handled the gun for the first time and bought it. The owner of the shop sold the other 2 before I even arrived and didn't know when or how many he would be getting on the next SHIPPMENT. The retail is $419.00 and with the delay and demand in CA the dealers are marking it up above retail. So I paid $49.00 above retail I can make that up in shooting .22 ammo instead of .45 after my first trip to the range.

That is for the Rifle, the OP is referring to the new pistol. So there is still some hope of a deal.

Yeah, that's what I wanna know. Mid August has come and gone and I have some more money to spend.

Keep in mind though that I'm going on vacation the first week of October; to AZ, and Prescott is one of the places I will be going.

I gave up. I am on a few lists ,but I just picked up an ISSC M22 pistol and I like it for a .22 plinker. I can't justify paying over $400 for a .22 Pistol. I will save my money for my next purchase ;either a Glock or AR15.

was a bit high for a .22. Saving my money for a Glock 19 instead.
