Hey all!

Pretty new to the world of guns. Definitely became obsessed when I went to the shooting range a few months back. I'm a big fan of handguns, but I also want to learn more about rifles. I don't own any guns...yet. I'd like to own a handgun first, but I'm pretty low on cash. My favorite handguns to shoot have definitely been the CZ 75 and the Springfield XD9. Looking forward to learning more and getting to know this forum.

Welcome, handguns are harder to buy then rifles, and got more regulations. IF you got any questions fell free to PM me or ask on the other forums

Han - be sure to come out to the CG shooting social the 2nd Friday of the month at 6:30. You are welcome to try out all kinds of guns (just ask) and even some registered stuff you only see in the movies.

Welcome to Calguns. Don't overlook a .22 rifle as your first gun, especially if money is tight. All the skills you develop with a .22 will carry over to the other calibers and a box of 500+ .22lr is about $20 at Walmart.

I 2nd the 22 option. A 22 rifle or pistol is a great first choice. Its hard to shoot $20 in 22 ammo. You might do that in your first 10 min with a 9, 40 or 45. Welcome and let the spending begin.
