I believe there was something about ending preemption. Introduced by DeLion, so that he can have more strict laws in LA.

Could be wrong though.

And I thought there was also something about BB/replica guns or something as well. Again, not sure if I'm remembering correctly.

That's the same bill - SB 1315 LA county, exemption from preemption re: state law on imitation firearm.

Don't see anything for May 16; May 14 SB 1366 (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=540463) passed floor vote, moved to Assembly.

Yesterday's stuff will probably show up soon. This link - http://blogs.sacbee.com/capitolalertlatest/bills-2011-2012-session/ - is pretty current.

Home rule for LA?

I'm torn on that one. I hate the idea of having even more confusion about the laws around the state. The good news is that LA will be even worse at avoiding completely unconstitutional laws and would probably be more useful in court.
