View Full Version : Mossberg 590 and Speccops problemo...
So I put the Speccops on my 590 and now it's hard to reach the slide release without manipulating the gun in a bunch of weird ways. Do they make an extended release for these things or do I have to make something up at the shop?

That's a common problem with the SpecOps and the 500/590s. That is also the reason why I haven't gotten the SpecOps. However, I hear that you can file part of the grip or whatever blocking the action release to make it easier to reach. Don't know of any extended release either.

make an extended release, actually, make two because i would love one! I saw a company a while ago that makes a safety switch that had little tabs, or wings so you could flip it without taking your firing hand off the grip. kinda cool, but I can't remember the company.
Cavalry arms is the company...

He's talking about the slide release.
And I was replying to desertram talking about a safety switch with tabs. I havent seen extended releases for mossys, it would be interesting.

I don't know why nobody makes one, it's like a stamped steel part, it should be easy to make, hurry up somebody and make one! Hahah! It's especially hard to use with gloves!
