So I ran out of stuff to buy. Closet is filled with clothes and shoes. Garage is filled with all kinds of Craftsman tools and a couple of motorbikes.

I figured the next void to fill is my gun safe :p

So I went to the gun store(s) today and picked up a few things

First up is this used S&W 4506-1:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4564.jpg

I went on Gunbroker and bought this off a guy from Florida. It's in pretty good shape and shoots great.

It came with one 8-rd factory mag, and a 10-rd aftermarket mag:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4566.jpg

I already ordered and received 4 more additional factory S&W 8-rd magazines, some Hogue rosewood grips and some Meprolight nightsights that I will have installed:

Next up is this brand new Glock 17L (longslide):

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4568.jpg

I'm not a big Glock fan, but I figured it's about time I owned one. If I were to buy one, it would be something that you don't see on a regular basis, so when I saw this I went ahead and picked it up.

6" barrel:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4569.jpg

Lightening cuts on the top of the slide:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4570.jpg

Just another closeup shot:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4571.jpg

It came with two factory magazines, and I picked up a 33-rd factory mag for ****s and giggles while I was at the store:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4572.jpg

Concealed carry much? Probably not

I love Italian shoes, women, and guns.

I picked up a brand new (made in Italy) Beretta 92FS in the stainless finish:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4575.jpg

It came with the original box and papers too from Italy:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4574.jpg

I wonder where this was buried... you don't come across these too often :hmm:

Last, but certainly not the least score of the day was this brand new Ruger LCP:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4580.jpg

It's pretty small and slim:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4582.jpg

It came with one factory mag. I picked up a 15-rd aftermarket for the heck of it, some range ammo, and some hollow points:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4583.jpg

Anyway, that's it for today.

What's next you ask? Maybe an AR-15 type rifle, or a nice 1911.

My birthday is coming up in 3 weeks, and I've been thinking of buying myself a nice boom boom toy as a gift to myself :D

Happy shooting!

Very nice 92FS Inox! The stamp on the trigger guard says CF which from what i know would be a 2011 production pistol. I know this only because i just picked up a used Italian 92fs from a forum member and the stamp was AN which specifies it is from 1985.

I also picked up a set of factory Italian made wood grips for the Beretta while I was there:

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv183/IBJanky/guns/IMG_4592.jpg

These were a direct drop in replacement to the stock plastic grips. It took me a whole 2 minutes to install.

I like them so much better though.

Thanks. I like the classic look myself :)

I went to Bolsa Gunsmithing in Westminster. They're super close to Long Beach and their service was awesome.

I had dropped off my S&W to get the sights installed, and on my way home from their shop, they called me and said that they were done

I had to turn around, go back to the shop, and pick it up. Sure as sh*t, my pistol was ready. I'm definitely going back there :)

Love the Vespa and the 'man' bike...:D

Nothing better than a good scooter for running errands. Love my V65 Magna (only 17,000 miles on her). Gonna get another scooter now that my boys are grown and out on their own (with about 1/2 of my weapons collection..hahah). You have a good eye for interesting weapons.!

Those 4506 Smiths have a cult like following. Heavy, super reliable, and very tough. Definitely a nice piece to have for duty carry. That, and they share the same .45 round that the most awesome of all gun designs was originally speced for, the 1911. ;)

A waste.. I say start an AR project or buy a complete like a Daniel Defense or a Colt and build it up with some nice Magpul furniture and good optics.. Once you're about $3k into it and done, move onto an AK project :D

Don't get me wrong, an AR is definitely on my "to get" list.

I just don't like all that crap on it. You're just missing the flamethrower upgrade :82:

The rifle you posted looks just like any other AR, even mine, less the magnifier behind the optic, and a vertical grip.. You don't even have the platform yet and you are talking about what you need and don't need.. At least get a decent rifle first and then talk about the accessories, all this window shopping is pretty lame, even for a guy that buys guns and rolls a Vespa :rofl2:

Nice selection - you did very well.. :) esp the all-Inox Beretta...

Do you prefer Meprolights over Trijicons?

Who installed your Meprolights - and yes it looks like it's a lot easier on the S&W than on a 92FS (has drilled holes in front sight)... I have a 92FS slide that has dead Mepros, bought a replacement test, but need to find someone who can install my new set.

I'm just as relaxed as anyone else, you're the one that seems touchy.. I could care less what you have or what you are buying Scooty.. The gun thing for me is my secondary hobby, there's a bit more money in my primary hobby than any gun you can or cannot buy.. Either way even the Ruger is no HK MR556, but then again you would know that if you did some research, you would also know what is ninja and what isn't and actually come off as an educated person..
