Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this.

I'd like to know what the value of the following parts would be.

Some one in another forum as everything to assemble a Colt officers model series 80 in .45 ACP.

This is everything LESS the frame, grips and grip screws. From what I was told the barrel is in excellent condition and so is the slide. All the other parts show wear, but in good condition.

He's asking $500 for the complete package.

This is every thing LESS the frame.

I'm thinking of maybe getting a 60% frame and build it up from there. Unless there's someone selling a frame, or can direct me to a site to buy frames? Just a wild shot on the latter...

Any suggestions on what these parts are worth?

What's a good offer to make on them, or is he asking too much?

Any feedback would be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks!

Pick up a copy of The Shotgun News, and you will find vendors who sell 1911 parts, frames, barrels, etc.

Thanks for the tip, used to pick up The Shotgun News at news paper stands years ago.

Where does one find copies for sale in the SF bay area?

He's at the upper end of the value, but yeah, he could probably get $500 for it on eBay. They're allowing the sale of gun parts now. But, he would have to pay the eBay fees, and deal with the hassle of listing it, answering questions, and shipping. So offer him $450 to make his life easier. Good luck!

All the Wal-Marts in the North Bay area, and probably all over California have The Shotgun News in their magazine sections, also gun shops and certain sporting goods stores carry it.
