Both Brand New.

I am having the hardest time picking which one I wanna buy. Both are good guns. I shoot well with both. Should I just save the $100 and go with the XD?

I love my xd40.....I shot some glocks and did not like the feel of the grip less ergonomic in my hand. other wise its a personal preference just like Nikon or Canon for cameras.

I personally shoot way better with an xd than a Glock. But, if you shoot well with both then just go for the one you like the best. What's a hundred bucks in the big picture?

whichever fits you best. Love my Glock, don't like my brother's XD....but mine is a G23 and his is the sub-compact....soooo

both are RELIABLE guns so you wont go wrong there, and the aftermarket options are easily found for both. It really comes down to which gun you like best. I highly doubt you'll regret your decision, even if you end up still wanting the other one...in this case, a coin flip wouldn't be a stupid idea

GLOCK vs XD is really similar to Blonde vs Brunette....the answer is: the drunker one....:43:

I shoot better with the XD too for some reason, never regretted buying one over the glock. Still want a glock though, just to shoot 10mm

+1 for a Ruger.. Those XD's are a P.I.T.A. to swap sights on...
And for the umpteenth time, Ive never had to replace a part on my rugers...

I vote "GLOCK". Why? Because they just work!!! We all know it aint the look of the Glock that makes them the number one selling pistol and the number one used pistol for law inforcement........

If you join GSSF for two years, the GLOCK will be $425 and you'll be able to participate in the matches. :D

I say the xd is the better deal. The glock 22 come up for sale as police trade ins for 399 from time to time.

Get the Glock now, and XD later in the year (hopefully with the free magazine promo).

Really, short term cost of gun means nothing compared to ammo.

If the S&W M&P is out of the equation, I would look at the XD.

M&P, look into it. Glocks #1 contender, and starting to win, in my opinion at least...

I haven't liked the reset on the XDs that I've shot. Found my G22 to be a lot faster to reset. I also like how low the slide is on the Glock compared to the XD. Just my two cents

M&P .40 is better than both and made in the USA.

There is truth to that statement! You'd think "Oh, I'm saving $100!" But realistically, that $100 is just 250-300 rounds of ammo. Range fees (unless you are lucky and can shoot in your backyard or are close to somewhere free) are about $10-$20/hour.

Shooting is not cheap! So get the gun you want and not just the "bargain" one. In a few months, you might end up not liking your choice and the money you saved has already gone towards ammo.

If you let someone else make the choice and that someone said that you were buying the XD40 would you be at all disappointed deep down? What about the other way?

This is how I always do tie breakers with things.

How much will the XD total cost be with shipping and etc? Is the Glock that you're looking local to you?

The savings might not be as much as you thought. Rent, borrow and see which really fits you the best before you make the jump.

What do you like better? Flip a coin if it's a tie...On my list I want to get a Glock22 before an XD. Both are good guns, I just feel more comfortable with the G22.

if you ever want to trick it out go with the glock. they are super easy and inexpensive to trick out and up grade. both are great guns between my g34 and xd9 tactical i like the g34. my wife likes the xd. the xd has an ambidextrious mag release which is cool=]
