BACKGROUND: One of my brother's friends inherited an M1A from his grandfather back when he graduated from High School (1998). Unfortunately, he wasn't into guns then so he didn't do anything with it. Now that he's taken up shooting, we've been swapping stories and it turns out he just recently found an old satchel (yes, like the one Indian Jones wears) in his grandfather's barn that had a few 10rd and 20rd magazines for his M1A. He remembered his grandfather telling him about them back when he gave him the rifle, but he never went to go get them until recently when he was over there looking for something else. Problem is, the barn leaked and the satchel and mags had 14 years worth of water damage done to them.

So as I'm sure you've guessed, he's looking to find rebuilds for the 20rd mags (threw the 10rd mags away since they were so damaged and rebuilding them would be a moot point when he can just buy new ones). He says he's found some online, but not from anyone willing to ship to CA as rebuild kits. Does anyone know of a place in the Sac/Bay areas that has 20rd rebuilds in-stock....OR....know of a decent priced online store that will ship them to CA??

Try http://www.44mag.com/. They carry CMI brand, which is issued to the U.S. Military. You have to pay a parts kit fee. They are a top notch company.

Just in case you find "ProMags" I've had no luck with them in my Socom16
