Last Thursday I DROS'd my RIA 9mm Tactical at EBR Works after having looked high and low for an SP01. Everybody told me the same thing: can't find them anywhere and several on order.

Then today on Facebook I saw Guns Direct in Burbank just got in an SP01. Shoot, just my luck. So what did I do? I ran on over to Guns Direct and bought that bad boy!!! $699 with night sights. A little high but considering how hard it is to find one, I am ok with what I paid.

Damn the 1 in 30 law! I'm pumped to high heavens.

cool story bros?

At least you still have the 1911 in 9mm, they are very fun guns. Excellent choice in pistols

If you don't like it then don't keep it. But I say, the more guns the better.

Have you ever shot a 9mm 1911?

I havent shot a 9mm 1911, no. Just .45s.

Who am I kidding, I'll probably end up keeping both ;)

I would if I was you.

Shoot it first, then decide. 1911's in 9mm are amazing shooters (the best 9mm shooters, IMO). The RIA 1911 in 9mm is no different than any other.

I have a feeling you will love it. No one I have ever met that has shot a 9mm 1911 has not fallen in love with it. Especially the ladies. ;)

One benefit of the 1911 in 9mm is the ability to go to the long neck 9's 9x21 & 9x23.

Nice purchase! I want that exact same 1911 but I don't have six Benjamins for it.

I would get both, but that's because I have hoarding tendencies.

Trick out one for a competition gun.

already started before i even drosed the gun. i bought all new springs and pins. still need waiting for CGW to release their new race hammer, looking for a flat SA trigger, then grips. and i should be ready to go.

althought i really would like one i can refinish in a different color.
