These are about mid 60's vintage show horse bits. They make great artwork to hang around the house or they are still fully functional bits. They have the original chain which is really rare to find. I'm selling them for my mom and dad as they're having a hard time financially right now and they just need the money. This was my grandfathers bit and obviously used little if any. They look practically new. If anybody wants to help a brother out, feel free to buy it for rustic art, functional show bit, or whatever you want, please do so. I'm selling them for $450 on craigslist locally, but I'll do $400 shipped to a calgunner. Again, it would help a LOT for them to get this money now. They go upwards of $550-600 for a bit in this condition in sterling.

These are the best pics of how detailed and ornate they are, I'll knock off $20 for shipping if you pick it up locally. These are gorgeous! Thanks for looking.

With a port that high, don't put them in a live horse!

Its actually pretty much just for a wall hanger now. I wouldn't want to use a bit that nice for the real deal. It has never been a working big in the last 45+ years now. Somebody buy it!!!!
