I found someone who is trying to sell this on another board out of california. He wasnt sure if he could sell it here and niether am I. Is the Cobray M12 legal to do a PTP transfer here in California. I know the cobray PM11 is, but wasnt sure about this one. Would it have to be a PM12 and not the M12???
Also, can it be converted to 9mm.
Thanks

can't convert it to 9mm

i think the m12 has muzzle threads so you would have to remove those and i believe it would be an illegal AW if it is not registered at this time or taken apart.

As long as it doesn't have a threaded barrel I think it is OK.

If you can get it PPT then yes its ok to transfer. you can either pull the upper off the gun (one pin).

or you can weld a nut on the threads.

or you can turn the threads off on a lathe.

or you can buy a non threaded barrel (they're hard to find but reasonably priced)

Or just whack the threaded portion of the barrel off on the lathe.....

This is an old post that was right up my alley so I stole it! Is it legal to sell a Cobray M12 top end (slide and barrel)? Thats all there is, no other parts just the original Cobray slide with the threaded barrel attached. Thanks in advance. oh yeah... in Cali.
