View Full Version : Glock Painted Lettering?

I have seen a bunch of pics where the letting on the slide of a Glock is painted, is that something people do themselves? Aftermarket parts? Or...?
Yup you do it yourself. It's just crayon. You rub it in and wipe away the excess.

Its usually home-done. You can buy "gun crayon/paint/markers" or some people just use standard crayons or nail polish.

OH cool, they come out looking really nice (most of them) ;) Didn't think it would be as easy as crayon lol.

Yeah, you can try testers paint from an art & crafts store. Enamel paint, white out, nail polish, crayon (though crayon may be the easiest to remove)
This is the same way people color fill their lowers on a AR15.

Get brownells lacquer stick. Doesn't melt when slide is hot.

Tried it on an AR. Didn't like it. Black is beautiful!

Most people just use a plain old white crayon.

I have a lot of white crayons. Whenever I give my kids a set and they start drawing (on white paper) they discard the "crayon that does nothing".

Real Glocks wear out, they don't 'white out'
