Well Father's Day is a little ways off, but I could not pass this up. My dad is big into Ruger's and saw this rifle that I knew he would love. It is a pre warning 10/22 with a sporter stock and was being offered at a local gun store for only $170. I had to get it and bought it. I picked it up two days ago and I actually cleaned it today. It is in beautiful condition, and want to keep it. I won't though because it was orginally burchased as a gift for my dad and I alreay have a 10/22. He lives in Arizona now, so when I go visit in the summer, I will give it to him. That does give me some time to fire it now though.

What a good son. My wife and I stopped in at a LGS on the way home from signing my retirement papers. She saw the walnut stock on the sporter and said "I want that one", smart girl. ;)

Great gift for a great guy I'm sure. Wish I could do something like this for my dad.

That's awesome man. I'm sure he will appreciate the gesture, and more importantly the rifle :)

Friendly reminder, don't forget to comply with Federal laws and transfer the firearm through an AZ FFL dealer.

Gun Control Act of 1968 prohibits the transfer of firearms between residents of different states unless the transfer is done through a FFL dealer in the recipiant's state of residence.

That one might still be there. I got this one at ceneterfire firearms. I don't have a problem with turners, but I just dislike spending an hour to pick up the weapon after ten days. Anyways, I off to test fire today, you know to ensure it's safety, of course.;)
