Springfield Long Beach PD Operator with STI trigger/hammer, Surefire X300 with extended pressure switch, Trijicon NS, and 4 Wilson Combat magazines.

The model listed on the case is PC9CUS.

I want some new ink and may sell if I can get a decent amount.

I wouldn't sell it IMHO. That thing is beautiful and they're fairly rare.

+1

Keep it, I'm sure you can sell something else. Blood, some spare organs or an extra kid you may have running around would all be better options;)

It kind of amazes me that a guy with over 11,000 posts on here doesn't know the value and rarity of a TRP Operator half rail. Just sayin..

Anyway, it is a gun that is made by the Springfield custom shop and only a couple of times a year in small batches I've heard. New they go for about $2000 or so out the door so used i would say don't take less than $1600-1800 and to maximize your profit sell the gun with 2 mags and no surefire, sell those separate and you will make moooorrree dough ;)

Looks identical to the TRP operator.. Still custom from the Springfield shop right?

The Long Beach Operators were originally ordered for Long Beach P.D., thus the name. They are the same as the MC Operator but add an Ed Brown magwell, 10-8 style grips, no checkering, Wilson mags and Novak night sights. That said, it's worth basically what an MC Operator is worth- just a different option package. It won't command TRP Operator money but it's a nice gun.

If you decide to sell it, let me know. I would rather have one of these than the TRP version so I can make a lower cost custom build.

Pro force has them for 1200 new if you can meet the requirement to buy there. I heard they got stuck with a bunch of those when LB PD changed their mind.

TRPs are not SA Custom Shop built, they are batch production guns from the standard SA production side.

Kinda amazes me you didn't know that- just sayin...

I've never actually seen a Long Beach Operator before. My new MC Operator cost me $1250 before tax and dros so I personally wouldn't pay more for a Long Beach version. If you do decide to sell, I'll also be interested.

You can purchase a NIB from ProForce for 1249.99, they have several in stock Plus tax and DROS of course. If you are LE, because it is Off Roster.

Oh, I will pick up mine on the 1st.

You must have got the last 1. I called them today and they did not have any in stock but had some on order.

This is incorrect. This pistol was thoughtfully spec'd by the SWAT armorer, and build by SA for issue to SWAT Operators, and for new recruits at the academy. It is well liked by those who carry them, and now has a proven track record in the field. At no point did the agency "change their mind" about going with this configuration. Its here to stay as the issue weapon for those who's duty assignments qualify them for it.

Individual LBPD Officers also have the option of purchasing them for carry on their own dollar. Many have chosen this as a replacement for the once popular Para Ordnance P14-45. Others still carry their Sigs, Glocks, HK's, or other quality 1911's. From time to time you'll even see a Les Baer riding in a Safariland 070.

Small batches of "Long Beach Operators" still arrive on the shelves at Proforce or Adamsons in Los Al, and those lucky enough to find them can get them for a price that is substantially more than the quoted $1,200.00 USD.

Its a great pistol for its intended purpose. Use. Abuse. Reliability. Accuracy. I have one and love it. If you can get your hands on one, you've made a sensible purchase. :oji:
