My local range finally got to me and I received a call this last weekend stating that I could go in and become a member...after about 9 months of waiting on the waiting list for my co-worker to take me, when HE took a day off...

I signed up for a membership (added the lady, and son as Jr. members/ associate members), and got to play by myself for the 1st time.

I broke out the 10/22 and the 20" AR, and forgot the 4 other AR mags, but shot ALL the reloads I brought with one mag. Went to switch to the 10/22 and realized I didn't bring any .22lr ammo, other than what I had in the mags, and skipped the 22... PHREAK!

THEN broke out the M9 (first time after sitting on it for a few weeks) and shot about 4 mags of 115GR reloads... NICE!
Switched to Golden Saber +P for 10 rounds to verify cycling... AWESOME! Went to the falling plates and plowed through over 200+ rounds until the bucket was dry (of ammo).

I didn't experience one FTF, not one FTE... not one problem. It ate everything I threw at it, round after round. Without the falling plates, I don't know if I would have had as good of a time... but I had a blast!

I then released "I LOVE the M9", more than I remembered and this formerly enlisted Marine may have to switch to being a pistol guy... but M855 @ 250YD on squirrels would be a treat... now with a scope and mount that work well together.

Extra-Babble-over... :)

Oh, I forgot to mention... the price of "admission" is ALMOST worth all the brass I will be collecting :)

See, once you get away from the Corp they're not all that bad of pistols are they?

I feel like people in the military are fed some disgusting m9 koolaid. But when they're not combat pistols with thousands, probably hundreds of thousands of shots through them they're a lot of fun.

I never had anything bad to say about them, never heard anything bad about them until I joined CalGuns. :) It worked well, and stayed out of the way... holstered to the flak-vest.

I work up in Oside in a shop that sells chinese replica's and all the grunts would come in and just hate on anything M9. I feel like the armed services ruin the pistol for a few people.

Now that you are a member, make sure you come to the handgun match on the 2nd Sat of each month.

If you are a member of Rainbow Range, matches are $2 for the first run and $1 for each additional run.

Nice M9. I love shooting mine. Got mine used at Target Master in milpitas. $500 OTD. I'm sure you were laughing too when you saw the cardboard box it came in. They provided a good story behind it but come on; cardboard? Still love the gun...

Cardboard didn't effect me ANY... Mine wasn't much more than that new. :)

I (STILL) LOVE THOSE GRIPS!

Time to research the story. <goes off to research the story... :)>
