Pretty much a simple question. I am driving back and forth to the OC fairly frequently. what shop is most likely to have a good selection of consignment 1911s?

Recommend Bolsa Gunsmithing. They usually have a wide array of firearms on consignment and quite often some very nice 1911's.

Finding nice consignment 1911s are getting more and more difficult. In OC, your best bet would probably be Ade's Gunshop. He has the fairest prices and they're PPTs so you don't pay tax IIRC.

Also don't forget about fowlers and stockade but a bit on the pricy side... If ever in corona try Annie's get your gun, haven't been there in awhile but they would usually have some on consignment. Very nice people they also have a website it anniesgetyourgun. You know the rest

Stockade and Fowler. Biggest selection. Priciest selection.

Bolsa is a gunsmith shop with few used guns.

Can't speak on Ade's.

All good suggestions. To add a few more,

http://www.turners.com/shop/gunlisting.php

Easy to check but not always accurate. Call to confirm.

Ade's Gunshop is a small place but had some nice firearms on consignment/PPT. PPTd here many times and purchased a few items including a SA 1911 SS Target LNIB for $700

Elite Firearms in Laguna Niguel also has some really nice firearms on consignment.

I say Elite then Saddleback Guns, just a stone's throw away. They seem to complement each other

Elite has some seriously nice, often droolworthy, old guns. Saddleback, more workmanlike, but you never know what will show up there

Walker '47? If so, I've been meaning to ask about that place. Anyone have any experience with them? I assumed they would specialize in SAA, but I imagine they would have modern firearms in order to survive in today's market.

yeap! but sometimes they're too busy and they just tell you what they have on top of their heads and they miss guns, especially good ones.
