View Full Version : Bay Area stores with a CZ 75B?

Has anybody seen a good selection of CZ handguns at a Bay Area store recently? I'd like to check out a 75B, but the stores I've talked to (J&R's and Tracy Rifle and Pistol) say that CZs have been hard to get lately. J&R's has a compact model in stock, but I think I'm most interested in the standard 75B. Any leads? Thanks!

ETA: I'm specifically looking for a 9mm.

Reeds indoor doesn't have one for sale but I do believe they have one for rent. I guess you can check it out and shoot it also.

Thanks, that's good to know. I bought my Ruger from them, so maybe I'll head down there to try out the CZ. (I just wish they would clean their rental guns occasionally!)

OP, I probably can do one better. Though its not a 75B, I seen a CZ SP01 9mm with safety for $549 like new if not brandnew, the store owner mentioned it was never fired, comes with everything box, manual and x2 mags. This last week Wed 18th Original owner lost his job, will be in the area tomorrow might stop by to see if its still available

Heres the info:

Tabors Shooters Supply
471 El Camino Real San Bruno, CA 94066

If not interested congrats to the Calguns member who buys it, especially for that price!

Yes their range guns do look well used... I think on their website they list which rentals guns they have so might want to check that first or five them a call.

Only cz they had in stock I saw was a P01 ...

Nice price on that if it's like new... Just picked one up myself.

Good luck to anyone who can pick that up since no tax on since ppt.

Wow, that's really tempting. I may have to give them a call tomorrow.

The one at Targetmasters is a compact. Try calling Irvington Arms in Fremont. They get some periodically. I got a sp01 for $650 1 1/2 month ago.

I bought my CZ 75B .40 recently from a fellow calgunner just from the reputation and picture. It was being advertised for over a week and had one price drop. I couldn't stand it anymore and had to post an "I'll take it!".

I did the transfer in Folsom, CA at STS Guns and they had a CZ 75B 9mm on the shelf when I started the transfer. It sold within days. They said they had two and both were gone. They say they get a couple every couple months.

I started searching in February and found one on Calguns in April. I have never bought a gun based on reputation and picture. Not advice I would give to anyone but in my case with this gun my choices were few. I put 150 rds Federal, PMC, Winchester through it yesterday and... I am in love. Bullseyes at 25 yds when I did my part. Accuracy, ergonomics, reliability, reputation, yeah all of that. I could go on but I would embarrass myself.

The range regulars had to come my bench and ask me, "Where did you get that!?" It's also getting a reputation as hard to find. My advice, be persistent and patient.

I have owned, do own, and will own more CZ's. If I only had one, it would be a compact.

Meh. I want the safety, not the decocker, and I'm too cheap for a .40 right now.

I have owned, do own, and will own more CZ's. If I only had one, it would be a compact.

Why is that? The compact looks like a nice gun, but one of the reasons I'm interested in the 75B is that it's said to be very accurate for the price, and I figured the 1" shorter barrel on the compact would take away from that. How does the accuracy compare in your experience?

Reed's just recently sold their last 75B (.40) - they only have rentals at the moment. I go there pretty often, so if you'd like, I can PM you if I see any more in the case.

The price on the CZ75 Compact at Target Masters was $505 if you are interested. I have heard good things on the compact versions also, sorry can give you back feedback.

I do have a P01 waiting to be picked up but wont get that for awhile.

I could swear I posted in this thread just a few days ago! Is there another CZ's in the Bay Area thread? Am I going crazy (totally possible).

Anyway... City Arms in Pacifica has always had a handful of CZ's (usually 3 to 6 or so) in stock every time over the past few years that I have dropped in just to browse. Give 'em a call.

I had a line on the CZ 75B 75th Anniversary Limited Edition only 75 made! Numbers 12 & 14 were still available a week ago. Want one? Call this place

As for Bay Area stocking dealers, I saw 2 in Vallejo @ Triple A's Sporting Goods I can't remember if they were 75B models though.

My math isn't the best, but I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing a 75th anniversary edition of the CZ75 until the year 2050 :p

you are right in regard to the actual model CZ75 introduced in 1975. But there's more....

The history of Ceska zbrojovka Uhersky Brod dates back to 1936. Last year, 2011, 1936 was 75 years ago. So 75 years since its establishment a Special Edition CZ 75B engraved pistol was made, limited to only 75. aka CZ 75B 9mm 75th Anniversary of CZUB.

The pistol commemorates the legendary CZ75 as the first successful representative of the product line made by CZUB which celebrates 75 years since its establishment. :D

I haven't tried bowling pins at 100 yards, but at self defense distances, not enough difference for me to notice, AND better balance AND it will take any mag the full size does.

Just an echo of how much I like my CZ75 P01. I've only had it a couple of months and bought it from Big R in Oregon. I'm of the lucky few who's mommy dearest is an Oregon resident... The purchase process is so much friendlier. And those intrafamily gifts just keep on coming...

Went to Bridgeport for the trout opener and spent more time shooting my new CZ 75B. It was nice to get away from the constraints of a range and shoot away. Excellent, excellent pistol. After the fun of the hunt for the pistol is over you will not be disappointed with the actual performance. Everything they say about the pistol is true.

Thanks to a heads up from KenP, I DROS'd a 75B at Reed's today. They still had one left this afternoon, if anyone's interested. (There were 4 left yesterday afternoon, so don't wait long.)
