I am wondering if anyone here has dealt with SGammo.com. Tell me your opinion, please. (like/dislike/experiences/etc)

And has anyone had experience with this type of Russian surplus ammo?

I recently bought a 5.45x39 S&W M&P upper for a plinker and will be shooting the **** out of it... (Yes, the ammo is corrosive I know) The upper has a chrome lined barrel.

Thanks.

The ammo works fine. Clean your gun, and you won't have any issues. The price and shipping aren't the best, however. I have also found that some brands and barrel combinations can have problems. You might want to buy a 30 round box of the 7N6 before you buy a case, and make sure that it works in your particular rifle. You can also try some of the various Russian import brands to see if any of them also shoot well in your particular rifle. My home built 5.45 AR hates Tula 60 grain HP. It won't cycle with it at all. But it loves the Wolf Military Classic 60 grain ammo. I use those more when I don't feel like cleaning the corrosive crap out of my gun. And the Wolf stuff comes in 30 round boxes.

SGAmmo is good to go.

That ammo is fine. Stock up all you can. I've shot it and plenty of my friends with AKs have as well.

Just properly maintain your rifle given that it is corrosive.

SG ammo is my first choice when I go looking for Russian surplus. I picked up a crate of that 5.45 and some Yugo 7.62 about a month ago.

Just ordered a case of it for the zombie shoot. The price with shipping was the best I could find, and the ammo is great.

BTW corrosive ammo will eat a chrome lined barrel too. Clean that sucker.

SG Ammo are good people, big thumbs up from me. I have bought 8k rounds of various 9mm, .45 ACP and .223 this year. I don't own any Russian guns (yet) so I can't comment on that ammo but they are great.

Make sure you clean it real well after the range. SGAmmo is a great place to buy from

SGAmmo is good to go! Order a lot from them recently and it all arrived as advertised and quickly. The people at my mailbox place hate me for all the recent 30-60lb "box of bricks" I've had shipped in, lol. ;)

Thanks for all the input. I have been price quoting and SG is cheaper than J&G, looks like I will be buying a bit of 5.45x39 :D Can't wait.

Anyone have experience with the S&W M&P 5.45x39 (non-piston)? Any input would be great.

^ what everyone else said about SGammo :)

Have not bought that specific ammo but SGAmmo has always come through for me, and I'm a small beans customer.

+1 for SGammo as well.

I purchased some 54r ammo from them back when they had 1k rounds in the really large ammo cans and I was very happy with their service.

SGammo is a great ammo site. Got my order in like 3days and they were willing to split my purchase on two cards with no problem.
