I looked at one the other day and yesterday I was in the area about 30 minutes before they closed so I went in and paid for one.

I had done some research on them before hand but now I'm finding they're supposedly garbage and it's true they're almost impossible to find magazines for them, not to mention they're $30+ a wack!

I paid $435 otd after a 5% off discount. :o

Well. No one can tell you but yourself.
Do you like the looks and how it feels?
You don't know how it shoots yet, it may surprise you... who knows.

What I can say is there are much more established 22 pistols that will probably run better and have more parts available and even probably cheaper...
Ruger Mk (and 22/45) series
Browning Buckmark

I do like the way it feels and looks though, "read the manual before use" stamped on the frame and the external hammer kinda bothers me. I like it because it's a different but if I can't even find a mag for it and many users are reporting it's beyond picky with ammo may mean it's more the gun than the ammo -- it's kind of a buzz kill. I can't even find the manufacturer's website.

Ive read several reviews in magazines Guns and Ammo was one such that did a favorable review on this little guy. If i recall they stated it MUST be broke in using only high velocity ammo. After a few hundred rounds and a good clean there was no issue that i recall. I know their website has moved recently but its out there. Keep looking.

ISSC is owned (or at least imported) by Legacy Sports International.
(People that own Turners Outdoorsman and a lot of other brands, Howa, Nikko Sterling, Puma, Citadel, Escort)

That is probably why you can't find their website as they are all lumped on their site.
Warning some pages of their site have sound effects.

BTW Turners has them on sale in their Spring Catalog for 349. So you may not have gotten the best price, not that it matters now :/

$349 after tax and DROS is about $415 so I don't think he got a bad deal.

The cost of magazine is precisely why I didn't get the SCAR clone. A 10 round mag costs $60 which is simply outrages! It's an item that's still in production not an antique!

I did the math myself before I posted. Apx 20 bucks is still 20 bucks he could still have in his pocket...

Did I say he got a bad deal?
No.
I said he "may not have gotten the best price".
Which is still true.

Anyway, I wasn't sure if I should eat the DROS and bail on the sale or give it a shot... but then I got to the range.
I put 200 minimags through it today and it had 2 or 3 hiccups. I can live with that I suppose. It'd be nice if it smooths out after a few more boxes. It hurt to have to leave it at the shop dirty.
I'm not sure why people are leaving negative reviews regarding accuracy. 1" groups at 5y semi-rapid leaves me to believe the gun's more accurate than I am. Out of the box the sights were definitely off right though.

Hope it was a good buy, cause I have one on order. Went in to buy one & the color I wanted sold 15 minutes before I arrived.

So I did the logical thing... Bought something else (XD9 4" - love it) and ordered the M22.

With my 30day lockout + 10, I can't pick it up until approximately the first of June.

It feels like a Glock tho, and I love the sight picture.

I went for it becasue its unusual and seemed to be gettign high marks. total disaster - though I did not know about break-in ammo. I was under the impression that it ate anything you fed it.

Fortunately for you, I tracked down the people who have taken up the responsibility for any problems with the rifle. ISSC is out of the picture.

In the end, even if it fired perfectly, and the stock was not locked up, its a very plasticy gun. I really wish I had spent my money on a Ruger SR-22 or a Sig 552 .22LR. My Mk22 shoots a good 6 inchesbelow the sights from 5 feet away. I think I just got a lemon

But live and learn. You might find its the best .22 ever.

Really like it as long as I'm running minimags. Magazines are pricey but it's a nice little gun. I don't think I'd pay full price for it though if I were to do it again. :D
