View Full Version : Will I be OK on overall length?

I've been planning my Saiga conversion. What I'm wondering is, when measuring overall length, I measured my barreled receiver, without a stock at 26.0 inches. If I used an Ace stock adapter block, which claims to extend beyond the rear edge of the receiver by 1.5 inches, plus whatever extra length a side folder adapter adds, I'd be at 27.5 inches. If I put a 2.5 inch muzzle brake on, in my mind I'd be at 30 inches with the stock folded. Am I correct in this assumption? Or is the length measured from front of barrel to back of receiver? I want to avoid any problems whatsoever, but I'm somewhat limited by my 24mm muzzle threads, And haven't found any brakes longer than 2.5 inches.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I beleive as long as your OAL is over 30" your good to go but barrel still has to be longer then 16" OAL. Barrel under 16" needs to have the muzzle device pinned/welded to make it at least 16"

Ok, cool. I'm running a 16 inch barrel, so I shouldn't have any trouble. Just want to stay on the right side of the law.
