Who uses their bayonet lug and what for? I'm trying to see what I want to do with mine. Thanks

This question reminds me of...

EARL: What the hell is that, anyway?
BURT: Cannon fuse.
EARL: What do you use it for?
BURT: My cannon.

Why not just use it for a bayonet?

Lol, I have no use for a bayonet on my m4 but I would like to use it for something if I can.

Lol I don't use mine for anything and to me buying a bayonet for it would be pointless, it would be just for the cool factor. Going to run it at the range? Lol, gonna use it for when SHTF? Don't hold your breath on that one.

I took my bayo from my "para SkS" no point in having it , but if the zombies ever attack, it will be on it in a heart beat.

I think the only useful accessory that uses the bayo lug is a bi-pod. (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/492205/ncstar-ar-15-bipod-bayonet-lug-mount-6-3-4-to-9-1-2-black)

Yeah, I have been noticing that very thing. That being said does anyone use one?

I have a tube over the gas block so I have no lug. But I would LOVE to find a clamp on lug for a bayonet because they look evil

I like it because it's an evil AW feature on my registered AW.

Actually it's not.

California (strangely enough) never had and does not have, a restriction on bayonet lugs.

They were part of the expired Federal Assault Weapons ban under the old point system, but were never part of any California ban.

I'd rather club my opponent with the buttstock....but that's just me. :43:

I always thought that a bayonet would be illegal in california. so I guess I was wrong, where would I pick up a bayonet for my AR??? you know for the "coolness factor" lol
