Or is that cheap steel cased Russian .233 something only an AK can stomach?

I'm torn between S&W Sporter AR for $630 and cheap Russian .233 for 0.25/rnd.....

or Saiga for $400 and cheap Russian 5.45 for 0.15/rnd(corrosive)

Has he done any good bench shooting? The bullet button is removable, correct, just like any normal BB?

You can remove the bullet button, but it's glued in. I drilled mine out, but I've heard heating it up works too.

We shot it out in the desert, no bench out there. He ran the wolf when I wasnt there. He just told me what he used.

Why wouldnt it be able to shoot steel case ammo? Guns arent like barbie dolls guys, they are made out of metal and built tough. My friends Sport shoots Tulammo just fine.

Can you eat deep fried fast food every day? Yes, but there will be lots of grease and cholesterol. Tula and Wolf are the fast food of ammo for your rifle heh!

Yes you can shoot steel!
The mp15 SPORT is a very good rifle and rivals many ar's 2x's the price!
Im a straight ak guy and I am gonna suggest you get the mp15 sport! Its a great rifle and I truly regret selling mine! Where are you buying it for $630? I got mine for $599 at tracy rifle and pistol but since I sold it I havnt seen none on the shelves.

even my cheat SU-16 fires Bear without problem
but as far as I know that Bear is the better brand compared to Wolf or Tula..

all that shows is that when there is a failure don't assume and keep firing. squib rounds happen to any ammo, even top shelf brass ammo.

My sport model gobbles up everything. Lake city, pmc bronze, american eagle, remington umc, wolf, tula, remanufactured ammo, unknown handloads and has yet to have a single ftf or fte in 2000+ rounds

One way to find out... I have seen only one AR that would not feed steel case ammo. My friend had one that would jam all the time on steel. The rest of us have never had issues.

My AR has about 2,000 rounds of wolf WPA through it without any problems. It has a chrome lined chamber and bore though which is supposed to help with eating steel cased ammo.

@scuds03
Myth on the chrome line.
S&w sport isnt chrome lined but it eats steel no prob.
Ive owned many AR's that were chrome and couldnt run steel.
Just the other day a fuy was out shooting with us and was running tula thru his ar I warned him the probs were gonna start soon and he said no. he went to run 1 last mag before he left and sure enough fte, ftc, ftf. And his was chrome lined too

Mine really does not like Tula ammo. It will malfunction about every 10 rounds.
