I saw a couple of these on Gun Broker and Gun Auctions.

Does anyone here have one or shot one or whatever?

Opinions? I was looking to get one, but I am not quite sure.

I looked at these years ago. Pretty cool set up but they are only good for standard pressure rounds. Basically the action is not strong enough for high pressure rounds like what is offered from Buffalo Bore.

That is not to say these are a bad rifle just do not plan on shooting high pressure 45/70 rounds out of it. Otherwise, worth getting.

save the money and have a friend punch you in the shoulder for the same effect.

Take a look at the Siamese Mausers that were offered in 45.70, you can load them up to full power.

Kind of technology going full circle; the U.S. Navy did a limited issue of Lee rifles in .45-70 in the 1880s.
