I'm looking for recommendations for the Remington 700 xcr tactical in either 308 or 300win to pair with match ammo. I do not reload. I'm leaning towards the 308 but my range use will allow me to reach out to 1500yds. I prefer 308 as 1st choice for this rifle and don't want any wild card calibers. What ammo do you rrccomend as well as which of the above calibers might you suggest

Federal Gold Metal Match is the norm for 308 (175grn). If this is your first precision rig I would recommend the 308.

Have you considered the 260 Rem? It's a flatter shooting round than 308, higher BC and can cheat the wind. Depending on your barrel, beyond 1000 is more likely with it than a 308 and ammo can be purchased through Southwest Ammo for about $25. There will be FGMM 260 ammo out shortly as well.

Yes this is going to be my first precision rifle. I spoke with a couple Smith's that recommend the 260 or 6.5 but I try to make all my platforms utilise more common calibers. Thanks for the input.
