View Full Version : Help with gas block

So I am trying to install a troy battle rail. I originally had a JP handguard. I removed the handguard and realized the gas block tube goes through a hole in JP's hand guard nut. So I tried removing the gas block and it only slides about 3 inches out then stops. So I figured the gas block tube is hitting on something inside the reciever so I removed the gas block tube pin out from the gas block and now I cant get the tube out of the gas block.

So my questions are:

Should the gas block and tube come out all in one piece?
If not then how do I get the tube out of the gas block?

Thanks, PS I did search on this topic and found nothing that helped.

q#1 = yes
q#2 = twist and shout. really twisting the gb/tube gets it out. soak in solvent or carb cleaner helps.

sometimes removing the muzzle device is necessary to get the gb/tube assembly enough clearence to come off as one piece.
