Just got my MMC stripped lower receiver yesterday. Next payday is this coming Tuesday, will be either buying locally or putting an order in for an LPK kit. This is the final parts list for my build,

-MMC stripped lower (Have)
-Magpul PMAG 10/30 (Have 1, will buy more once done)
-LPK from AR15Depot.com
-Sparks Industries Pistol Grip
-Mil-Spec 6-Position Stock from AR15Depot.com
-16" M4 Chrome-Moly Upper Assembly from MAPartsinc.com (Less BCG & CH)
-BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle
-BCM M16 BCG
-Detachable Carry Handle

After I have shot around with the iron sights for awhile, I'll swap it out for an EOTech OPMOD EXPS-2 holo sight. Here's some pix for you all to enjoy. :)

Right on man, can't wait to see the finished product. Doesn't it just kill you not having the LPK so you can at least test fit the mag?

Ya it sucks but it will be done soon enough. I am thinking of just doing a standard bullet button on this one though.

Picked up a CMMG LPK and Blackhawk ERGO grip from Just Guns today. 2 more weeks and I should have my Stock by then. Here's eye candy for the LPK installed...

Got my m4 style stock today from AR15Depot and am stoked. The only thing that is making me slightly pissed is that it says Mil-Spec on their sight, but it's commercial. Oh well, but I may email them and ask why it's that way. Will post pix tonight once I get it together :D

Stupid me though had to adjust the buffer and spring, held it facing my face, and the buffer shot out and whacked me in the face under my right eye. Gonna have a nice little black eye in the AM... lol.

Ouch careful bro. Don't shoot you eye out. That reminds me of the time I was swapping stocks on one of my ARs and the spring for the detent that goes against the safety selector goes flying across the room. Took me three hours to find it. I was pissed. Ill never let that happen again.

Ya it still hurts this AM lol. Just need my upper, bcg, and charging handle and I'm done for now. Still debating on the M4 upper or lightweight carbine with carry handle (ltwt only) for my upper. Difference is $5 but if I get the M4 one I'd still need a rear sight.

Did that too for my pivot pin. I knew that could happen but I got too excited for my first build, that it launched to the ceiling and I had to move furniture to find the detent and spring. Took me about an hr.

Nice build so far! I'm at the same spot with you. I need to get enough funds to get the upper. If your asking, I think you shouldn't think about the cost, go for the one where you wont be hitting your head for not getting at the end of the build.

The only difference between the 2 is the bigger handguards and indent on the M4. The ltwt does come with the carry handle unlike the M4 which is what I was planning on using for my sights until I got an EOTech sight

Veering off slightly from my original plan, but here's an updated list of what I have/what I plan to get (subject to change)...

Have
-CMMG LPK
-M4 Stock from AR15Depot
-Blackhawk Ergo Grip
-10/30 PMAG

Plan
-Complete Upper Receiver from AR15Depot
-16" M4 Barrel "Starter Kit" from AR15Depot
-2 Piece Quad Rail from AR15Depot
-BCM BCG
-BCM Charging Handle

I'll be ordering up the Upper Receiver here as soon as my paycheck gets deposited (as we speak) and should hopefully have it here this week or next.

I just finished my first 5.56 last week. I too went with AR15Depot for my upper, barrel, and stock. The stock is UTG and think UTG claims that all of its stuff is milspec. Anyway, after a few hundred rounds, the adjustable stock is sturdy and comfortable. Just remember to clean the BCG and oil the life out of it before your first range session and you'll be all good. Let us know how the ARD setup works for you!

Ya will definitely keep this thread updated even after it's done and shooting. I'm excited about the upper coming, then I'll order up my barrel, might just get a stripped one and get a folding front sight assembly. Will look into it more once I get home from work.

UPDATE:

Just got my ARD upper receiver today and it fits great! May get the accu wedge to help snug it up just a bit. Here's some pix with the new upper receiver...
