I had a chance to see this at Shot Show this year. Joe and a few guys from Red Jacket set up an autograph table at a random nylon gear booth. Joe had this out on display and I was very impressed. The plastic looked very much like a prototype, but the overall design was very cool.

I will definitely buy one, especially if they are available in 6 weeks!!

I am curious exactly how the safety works. If you notice it is inside the trigger guard. I hope it doesn't just lock out the stock's trigger and then leave the actual internal on fire.

noticed that and wondering also, and in the show it was sporting a ejection port cover for i assume left handed shooter like "Max" and wondering how well it works and if it causes stoppages ...

i like it,but i am also expecting it to be priced out of my cheap arse range coming from Red Jacket ... lol

If it's anywhere near the price of ProMag's shells, then it should be fine. I wonder if Brownell will carry it? They are carrying some of Red Jacket's products now.

While we are on this subject what other bullpup stocks are there fore the 10/22?

The local pawn shop has the basic 10/22 for $185 and I"m sure I can bring that down a bit more.

Defcon do us a favor and get some bullpup molds for the 10/22 going :)

Neat. Though, hopefully that's not a plastic rail with a seam running down the middle on top.

We're moving as fast as we can to get this into production . Which , unlike on tv , can take a minute ;) . We expect to have the molds cut with 2-3 weeks and we're doing all we can to insure that these are on the shelves for the fall.

FYI
I called Red Jacket today. They stated it would be up on web page tonight for pre-order. I only ask about it as a stock not whole gun.

$229 for first 750 then $ 299 after that so it says on their site. A little expensive for my taste for a stock.

Forgive me, but I honestly can't remember how this works. If I use the threaded 16 inch barrel and it falls short of the overall 26 inches, I then would have to permanently attach a flash hider/muzzle brake/fake suppressor? I just want to make sure it needs to be permanent.

i asked them about the safety and was told it only locks the transfer bar not the action .... its temping but think i will wait for more runs instead of being a paying beta tester ....

why ?

because they did something to you or one of your firearms, or due to what you read on the 100% truthful interwebs?

because they have a scripted entertainment program ("reality tv") on a national network that the producers and editors make them look like tools in ?

really am wondering why all the hate on RJ, other then overpriced in my eyes i really dont understand the hate on a company that was not even knowed by the majority of haters before there was the "show"

flash hider doesn't need to be permanent to make oal length 26". It just needs to be there all the time. If you went with a less that 16" barrel, then you would need to attach it permanently.

Just got my 10/22 and saw this on Sons of Guns. I like the idea a lot, really tacticool, maybe I should take this thing out to the range first before I start modding lol.

I just pre ordered one of these from RJF as I'm not interested in buying an airsoft gun to mod into a shell for another gun and its simpler for me to pay them to do it for me, however I have a few questions as I'm new to rimfire.

Am I correct in the fact that unlike centerfire guns with magwells outside the pistol grip 22lr's don't need bullet buttons?

Their website says go with an 18.5 inch or longer barrel, is there a minimum OAL requirement for 22's? and if so what is it?

anything else I should know about before I get too excited about my new purchase?

The requirements are very close to federal standards. Overall length needs to be 26 inches. The barrel legally needs to be at least 16 inches. However as they elude to on the order page, a 18.5 inch barrel is required to get to a legal length. If you choose to use a 16 inch barrel, then you will need to either lengthen the stock or use an extended muzzle device (flash hider/muzzle brake/fake suppressor). I'm leaning towards using a fake gemtech suppressor.

No need for bullet buttons on rimfire rifles in CA.

this makes me VERY happy! I bought the stock without thinking about the fact that that company specializes in items we can't really use here generally and was worried I was going to have to modify it to be able to use it.

Sounds like once I get my hands on the actual stock I'll just have to figure out the barrel length I'd need to keep in order to get to 26 inches.

Thanks for the info!

Sorry, if this has been posted before. Are we still are limited to 10 rounds magazine capacity with a rimfire. The reason I ask is seeing 25-50 round magazines for 10/22's for sale at gunshows. I know about the tubular magazines can go over 10 rounds but can the clip type?

You are limited to 10 rounds, with the exception of personally purchased Pre-Ban mags and LEO's. But a 25 rounder blocked to 10 rounds might be easier to manipulate in a bullpup. I am also curious to see if those tri-mag setups will work with this stock.

$299!?!?!? They are phreaking high!

I really like this design, and have been looking for something similar for a while, as most don't have a nice forward thumb-hole/grip.

If it was like $150...MAX, I'd get one. It is a piece of plastic, but I guess they have to (over)sell the name...

Now if someone were to make a similar shell... it would probably sell better than a googled "bullpup 10/22 stock" without quotes.

Thanks 4x4 that is what I thought. Let us know if trip mags work. I would love to get a stock if closer to 175 or 180.
