I picked up my first AR on Monday a new Stag model 3G. So far I love this gun. Love the Sampson rail and the 3G trigger. I don't have much experience with AR's so I can't really compare it well. I threw on a really old 3-9 scope I had laying around. Not sure how I want to equip this for sights or optics.

I sighted in at 25 yards and then went over to the 100 yard range. I was not expecting such a big difference in impact. I had to hold 6 inches low to hit center. Once I figured that out it shot really well for me. With just the front support I got some pretty good groups with regular PMC ammo

Great first AR! I was seriously thinking about picking one up as I don't have an 18" AR yet. It must be that really long rail but that thing looks longer than my 20". :)

Have fun adding all the expensive little bits here and there.

Stag is the best kept secret of high quality, factory built rifles without the boutique brand prices. That is a fine rifle. Enjoy. My Stag rifles have never let me down.

Congrats! I just picked up my Stag Model 4. Can't wait to get it dialed in at the range. I'm going to shoot the iron sights for a while and until I get a good feeling for how it shoots, them maybe a sight upgrade down the road.

Check Ammo Bros in Ontario. They had a bunch of Stag rifles and uppers in stock last Thursday.

There are four Stag rifles in my safes in various configurations. They are great rifles.

When I was looking at my first rifle, I wanted an AR, but got the K31 and Mini and now I find myself pricing AR builds. I have Firearm ADD; I see something and go 'Ohhhh, that's cool, I'll save for that, wait nevermind- that one. Oh wait, that one..." Originally wanted a Stag Model 4 but am now looking at the Model 3+Pkg with fixed stock and then a Model 4 20" upper. I'm a mess....:D

Stag Model 4 with KAC Rail. The carry handle iron sight works perfectly. Give it a chance before you upgrade to something that might cost more, but not really be any better.

P.S. The aesthetics of the 20" AR in that exact config are very pleasing to the eye, not to mention the increased sight radius and higher velocity from that longer barrel.

I couldn't agree more. I had initial plans of changing out the stock and adding some dress up parts, but once I put the KAC on, I felt it just looked right ;)

I was looking into that rifle some time ago. Looked really good and I'm glad you're happy with your purchase.
