I'm running the Burris Fast fire set up. Really nice and built solid. Pain in the *** to zero the irons but the set up great.

Keep in mind those reviews were for the original design. MI has since fixed these issues. For me I did not want an optic over the gas tube because my Saiga gets extremely hot. Other option is using the side mount but its a pain to find an optic that will sit low enough for co-witness. Here my review for this set up....great mount get it... Check out YouTube there is a review on it too.

ULTIMAK is the WAY TO GO!!

You do not get cowitnessing with most sights using the Ultimak. You do get it with this mount.

Personally I prefer the MI forward 4 rail handguard with a specific top rail mount for your specific red dot sight. You get the lower 1/3 cowitnessing professionals prefer, without having to replace your sights. That is a major plus if they are already sighted in. Plus you don't have anything interfearing with the rear dust cover. Not sure this would, but it looks like it would.

Here is an example of what I am talking about...the top rail is designed specifically for cowitnessing a specific site. In this case the Aimpoint T-1 version also works for the Primary Arms site shown below. How does this differ from the standard rail? Using the standard rail your iron sights would be blocked by your red dot. Same thing happens on the Ultimak.

One you do not want to use. The dust cover is not solid. It is not designed to maintain zero and needs to be removed constantly just as a general part of maintaining the rifle. I have yet to see one that completely overcomes this issue. Though many say they do.

Thats not a dust cover mount.

Also, the TWS gen 2 does a pretty good job, along with the Krebs Custom.
