And you obviously had fun, and that is a good part of what shooting is all about. Congratulations! You'll never forget this day.

I was very young when I started shooting, and I'll never forget the first time I shot a .44 Magnum, a Ruger Super Blackhawk, around age 10. I've shot many guns since, and of many types, and many time, but that moment is indelible on my memory as if it happened an hour ago. The time of year and time of day itself, where the sun was in the sky, who was there, my target, the smell of the spent gunpowder, even what I was wearing - just awesome to be in that moment with complete lucidity so many years later.

I love when someone says "wasr's are great for the price" guess it makes them feel better for their more expensive clones lol.
OP
invest in ammo, as much as you can get, you'll run thru it so fast.. So you gotta make sure you never drop below 2k rounds.
Have fun

Congratulations. My WASR-2 (5.45x39mm) also runs like a champ and is even sweeter now that I have a magpul MOE stock and midwest industries rail. Guess not all WASRs are garbage...

Just buy yourself a TimberSmith stock set and be done with it.
