Hey guys just wanted to share my Arsenal SGL-21 with you. Decided to take some pics today of it nearly complete. All that's missing is some type of sight, most likely leaning towards Eotech. Still need recommendations on sight and sling, so let me know!

Side Note: Put 200 rounds through her over the last weekend and she ran great. Only slight issue was charging the first round into the chamber the first few times, seems it needs to be broken in or maybe a little oil.

Let me know what you guys think! I know she's not your traditional AK rifle but give her a shot! Classic wood furniture will be on my next one.

Below is a list of all aftermarket parts:

Exterior:
Midwest Industries Quad Rail
Midwest Industries Side Mount Rail
NcStar Bipod
ATI Pistol Grip
VLTOR Stock Adapter
Magpul STR Stock

Magazine:
Bulgarian Circle 10

Start dropping some weight and clutter, lose the bipod and the side rail mount, at least until you put optics on it.

I personally loathe the BB you are currently using and recommend a Solar Tactical Gen II BB, way easier to manipulate the catch release. Recently see them on eBay for a decent amount.

Otherwise looking like a solid beast. Nice.

Even though I don't particularly care for AK's, it looks real clean. Congrats. Good job.

Definitely not running the side rail without optics quite yet, same with the bipod. Only put it on to take pics and to sight in the rifle.

Not a fan of the BB either. It's the one that came on it from RifleGear. Will look into the Solar Tactical.

Thanks for the tips!

Lmao we both have the same adapter and stock.
Besides that whats the total you have invested in that fine looking rifle?

I like it. On your tang...Put 2 #8 washers under it and then install the that Vltor stock adapter as you can see yours angles up which is a known problem. Putting one or two #8 washers will fix this. The BP-02 would have been a better side mount. Also, that grip hopefully suits you but a US Palm grip is hands down one of the best grips I have ever used on an AK pattern.

Regardless, I like it. I will post pics of my Draco tomorrow...It is shaping up as well but need a TWS which I can't get right now. Added a Surefire light and AFG.

I'd get a Russian scope, they're sturdy & reliable, just like weapon platform itself; and best of all; CHEAP!

I wonder why you're having an issue with the first round? Try different mags and see if the problem persist!

I like the pictures, they show the sleek lines of the rifle and all the gravy (evil features).

CONGRATS!

Man, for all the good reviews, that grip did not work for me. To small for my hands I guess.

Good luck with the TWS, talked to a local smith who is a vendor for them, he has no idea when they are shipping out again.

The other grips are good but the ergos on some them are too much.

Yeah I can't seems to get a TWS and it has slowed my Draco project considerably.

A POSP would be nice but sits to high for my tastes.

I'd like to pick up a TWS, but it might just have to be an ultimak. I want to dump the quad rail set up, to much weight.

I still like the dumb ole' tapco Saw for some reason. Bout to dump my Mako grip.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! The main reason I went with the MI side rail was that I like that it's an extremely low mount, giving me a better cheek weld. Will def try that washer trick ZX-10R!

Mamluke, I will definitely check out that scope!

As far as the grip, I love it. It fits my hand well and gives me solid control over the rifle.

You now whatever works for anyone. People like VFG...They feel awkward for me but AFGs work awesome. Want an Eotech or Aimpoint for my Draco but prefer it definitely centered. My buddy has his configured like that and I like it that way.

A AR grip adapter might work for you...I definitely prefer larger grips as well.

Great rifle man but for god sakes take off the side mount, bi pod and put a kydex wrap so you can enjoy it.I've used all the major red dots and by far the best way to go is a bushnell trs 25, its 80$.When you sell the bipod and side mount take the money and put a tapco single hook trigger, you'll thank me later.

Thanks bro. What optic you putting on it? Wish I could put a side rail on my Draco but TWS is not a bad option. For an AK like yours I like a side rail for some reason. I always had great luck with them.

I like TWS rail but I like the quick detach feature of the side rail. I'm leaning towards an Eotech. Most likely the 512.

Same here. The AIMpoint Pro looks like a winner but I have had a red dot and an Eotech seemed better for my bad eyes.

I like it.

Though I recently pulled the bipods off all my guns as I realized I don't use them often and they are a lot of weight at the exactly wrong place. Can put them back on as needed.

Homeland Security thanks you for volunteering your gun to the new guntrack program. Guntrack, like facetrack and platetrack can track and log any gun picture posted to the web or attached to an email. Guntrack adds the picture and nickname used to post the picture to the fusion center database. The fusion center will then scour its databases and internet sites to match up an email address or real name to the gun.
