Any idea when the Ruger Scout Rifle will be back in stock? Went to Turner's West Covina yesterday to buy one and they were out. :(

We are getting a lot of Ruger, 2 to 4 times a week but no Scout Rifles. Ruger, like everyone else is very behind but they are the one factory who is working the hardest to get things on track.

Thanks for the response. Maybe in two weeks? ;)

I've taken a couple of jabs at them on Facebook since they're putting out new models while they're so far behind on current production. Maybe one of these days.....

I have been looking for a Ruger Gunsite Scout for months. I saw one once right after they hit the market, and regrettably passed on it because its very short and smallish for a bolt action "accuracy" rifle. But that was Coopers point I guess. Now they are all but non-existant. Good luck finding one.

Yep, it will be tough to get any of the more popular Rugers .... 1,000,000 units on backorder is a staggering number....

Just curious, after fees etc... how much did it end up being?

the total should be something like this:

$750 + shipping + credit card fee + FFL transfer fee + CA sales tax + CA DROS fees

the total should be something like this:

$750 + shipping + credit card fee + FFL transfer fee + CA sales tax + CA DROS fees

Well, here are some numbers:

West Covina Store - $829.98 + $72.62 tax = $902.60 + $35.00 DROS = $937.60

Gun Broker - $750.00 + $30.00 shipping + $58.13 tax = $838.13 + $35.00 DROS = $ 873.13

So I saved about $64.47.

BTW, Money order, so no credit card fees, the FFL is a friend of mine, so his fee was $0.00, and the above doesn't take into account the two extra magazines and the XS rail that was included in the purchase price.

No. 40 rounds through it. Still, the extras ($195.85 worth) alone sorta make up for not being brand spanking new.

to nitpick, you're off about $5.00 on the DROS & dealer fees from Turner's since they charge $30.00 for new/used firearms. ;)

you probably paid something to get the money order and postage, gas and time to do all this stuff? not including returning cost if something is not as expected..

I used to buy from GB but not any more with the new CA internet sales tax law, increased in shipping/handling fees, restrictions, etc..

Well, Turner's would have gotten the business if they had RGSR's in stock. They were advertised in their spring sale ad, so I would have expected them to have had a large number in stock to deal with that sales ad. They also had a better price in that ad than this week's Huntads, $799.

How long have you worked for Turner's? ;)

Everybody is guilty of this right now, it's pretty damn irritating that nearly all the manufacturers seem to have a new gun of the week but can't fill orders on what they're already making.

Demand is so off the charts and unprecedented; no factory is on pace to keep up.
