My new AR Pistol is right at 28" OAL and I would like to find the best soft case for it without spending a fortune. Pretty much a range toy although it may occasionally get set down in the dirt while in the case. My AR pistol has an Aimpoint on it too so I need at least a little protection but I don't want a hard case.

I am looking at the UTG 32" bag (I already have one for my Uzi and it's not bad, surprisingly decent for the money, but it is a bit flimsy), Voodoo Tactical and the Galati Gear 30" case. Anyone have any experiences or own any of these? I kind of like that the Voodoo and the UTG cases are rectangular, they look far less like a gun case than that Galati does. The cases run from about $35.00 to about $60.00 so cost isn't a huge differentiator.

Anyone?

I use a voodoo tac 36” for my AR. I like it a and used it one of my last trips out. It has loads of pockets and carry options, as well as MOLLE to allow for even more expansion.

I carried my AR, USP, USPc, 1911, G19, and my GSG all in one bag (and it fit in the trunk of my car) :p

Ubermcoupe:

Are you happy with the build quality? Amount of padding? Are the zipper fragile and look as if they will fall apart? Can you lock it with the zippers and a D-ring? (I live within 1,000 feet of a school).

When it comes to padded weapon cases and range bags, they're only two manufactures I ever look at.

VooDoo Tactical and Tac Force.

I highly recommend purchasing something that has MOLLE system that can secure your AR in place. With the modular MOLLE straps, you can adjust the straps accordingly to how you want the firearm to sit in the case. It definitely makes everything neater, more organize, and most of all secured.

These cases also comes equipped heavy duty zippers that can accommodate locks of numerous sizes for extra security.

Trash can? You don't like AR pistols? But they are so fun to shoot, the best range toy out there.
