Ok. I've been told I can post a single photo. All steel. There's no possible way to make it out of aluminum. Its so solid you could use it as a carry handle of the rifle, but that's not recommended.
The machining is a semi-complex series of angles as the 1911's receiver tapers in two directions. Keeping the mount rail dead center to the bore axis is is obviously of extreme importance. The method of stabilizing fore and aft and the vertical is also critical. We've applied for the patent so we're covered now.
The rings shown here are purposely too tall.
There is a Diopter and front Tunnel sight planned for this mount. Those will also be patented.
I purposely did not show the three mounting mechanisms.

That's an odd looking scope... almost looks like it's on there backwards?

Hey! I actually wasn't supposed to do that. As long as my sister doesn't check in here and rat me out.

Now... let's talk about a picture of the other side of the mount... you know... where all the important stuff is...

Waiting with pencil and graph paper in hand.... ;)

Latigo,

My only concern with the pictured mount is that it rubs on the furniture. Is there a clearance between the mount and the wood? Man two weeks of waiting is a long time.

Also, will you have a damper and brake for the 1911? I'm beginning to love the 1911s more than the K31s.

I sense a racial overtone here which IMO is a bad ju-ju.

Now........ pro-nra....... Do you actually think we'd make a mount that wasn't field tested on a load of different rifles? We're including a small whittling knife to remove any wood that comes near the pillars.
:D

Racial overtone? Hrdly. ............ however the Chinese have been the worst offenders at ripping off our products. You can't sue a chinaman that's in China.
No apologies from me. :D

Please stand up and remove your drawers from your crack.

Latigo, will a charger slide by the mount to allow for loading?

Yep. Sure will.

And..... Pro-nra, a Diopter and a front Tunnel sight are planned for this mount. I'll keep you posted.

YES, you do.....the M-1911s are, in a word, incredible. Coupled with the mount and optics, they'll be untouchable for accuracy.

We're still looking at how a Non-D/T Damper and Brake could work on a 1911 front end. Its a little tougher to make happen with such limited space behind the sight.

pfft, this jerk unveiled this wonderful magic thing on my birthday in Feb. Imagine how it feels to have money and rifle on hand, but no fancy mount! :banghead:

Er, I mean... :D I love you Latigo!

I ended up buying a K31 mount for now... for now...

Purple pig poop. The cost of M-1911s just went up again. My wife is going to [expletive deleted] when I tell her the last rifle wasn't the last rifle, like the one before that, and the one before that, and the one one before that ...etc.

I swore I was buying just one more... Now I have 30.
